To ensure a smooth and efficient Booking creation process, please find below a comprehensive checklist outlining all the required information for your booking request is crucial that all the necessary details are submitted to avoid any delays.
Once you have gathered and completed all the requirements listed below, kindly use one of the EDI channels to submit your booking request or send your booking request to US.BOOKING@ZIM.COM
Full company name and the following details for the Shipper, Consignee, Notify, Forwarder, etc.:
- Includes full address, city, state, zip or postal code, and country
- Contact person, first and last name
- Phone number
- Email address for all Parties on the B/L
- Company registration number/Tax ID for all Parties on B/L
Vessel name, voyage, and leg
Place of Receipt, if required
Place of Loading
- Preferred loading date (Is this a door move – Yes/No)
- Loading facility/contact person/phone, email and reference number
Place of Discharge
Place of Delivery, if required
General Information:
- Number of containers
- Container type/size
- Cargo weight (kilograms/gross weight/gross cubic meter)
- Commodity code
- Commodity description
Reference Numbers:
- Tariff number
- Contract or quote number
- Shipper reference
- Forwarder reference
- Contract reference
Customs filling number (AES/ITN, In Bond, NOEEI, etc.)
US Customs DOES NOT ALLOW the use of PALLETS as the main cargo package description.
They require the package type known as the inner package, i.e., 500 cartons instead of 20 pallets. If you would like to include the pallets, you may do so if you ALSO include the inner package number.
If cargo is donated/relief goods, Haz, high value, Reefer, shipper owned, or other specific commodities,
additional info or documentation (Shipper Declaration/LOI) and approvals may be required.
